The use of custom-made implants in the midterm follow-up period significantly improves function of the hip and the quality of life of patients. However, the questions of assessing the strength characteristics of both the developed implants themselves and the implant-bone contact zone remain open, including using finite element analysis, which from our point of view should be an integral stage of the modeling philosophy before printing. In addition, the use of specialized coatings in the area of contact with compromised bone should increase the longterm survival of the developed implants.
